Single Use Professional suctions have been used as part of an international skull base workshop held in Strausberg at the world renowned IRCAD training centre. At the Microscopic and Endoscopic Approaches to the Skull Base event held from 17th to the 19th January, our suctions were used by an array of international surgeons for training and education.
The workshop, aimed at ENT and neurosurgeons from all over the world, gave clinicians the opportunity to learn and practice the technical skills required for skull base surgery. The event provided both didactic lectures and intensive hands on cadaver dissection sessions, covering a wide range of transcranial and endoscopic approaches.
The IRCAD training centre, which hosted the event, was established in 1994, is dedicated to research and teaching of the most innovative surgical techniques. More than 5,500 surgeons visit IRCAD every year to learn about laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery, meet prominent international experts, watch live operative demonstrations and practice on live tissue or on anatomical specimens in the cutting-edge operating room equipped with 20 laparoscopic units.
Single Use Surgical distributor in France, Climdal, were sponsors of the event, and Single Use Surgical Export Manager Michael Denver, and Marketing Manager Tim Christopher were on hand alongside Franck Basseville of Climdal to experience the 3-day event.
